1. Enable the Track Select Forward Tool
To start, activate the Track Select Forward Tool to make it easier to move multiple clips simultaneously. You can:
- Click the Track Select Forward Tool icon.
- Or use the shortcut “A” for faster access.
2. Select Clips to Move
Now that the Track Select Forward Tool is active:
- Click on the clip you want to start with in the timeline.
- Premiere Pro will automatically select that clip along with all clips to its right, both above and below on all tracks.
3. Drag the Selected Clips
Once your clips are selected:
- Simply drag them to the right to create space or reposition.
- This move helps preserve the sequence while shifting your timeline elements.
Bonus tip: Direct Drag
If you want you can skip the second step to “Select Clips To Move” and simply click and drag the clips straight away (they’re automatically selected).
